Dionysius Passes Away
Augen Mar Dionysious Metropolitan of
the Idukki Diocese passed away on 06th
June 2007 in a road accident near
Ponkunnam.
The mishap occurred when a private
bus collided with the car in which
he was travelling.
H.G was ordained as Sub Deacon on
May 21, 1979, Deacon on July 19,
1980, Priest on August 30, 1980,
Remban on December 5, 1992 and
Metropolitan on March 5, 2005.
H.G had served
as Secretary of the Catholicos
Baselios Marthoma Mathews I for 16
years, Devalokam Aramana Manager,
Kottayam Central Diocese secretary,
Baselios Charitable Society
President and Baselios Research
Centre Director.
Funeral
service will be held at Vallikkattu
Dyara, Vakathanam on Thursday 7th
June 2007 at 11:30 am.
Passing away
of thirumeni has created a vivid
void in our church.Thirumeni was a
divine gift to Malankara Orthodox
church ,who is always nourish the
way of life with Indian spirituality
and christian ideology.
We would like

demise of His Grace and express our
heartfelt condolences to the
bereaved church.
